Description : A small to medium-sized, deciduous Leaves 18-60 cm long, obovate-oblong, rounded at the apex, coriaceous. Flowers small, greenish white, subsessile, fascicled in pubescent panicles which are equal to or shorter than the leaves. Drupes 2.5 cm long, obliquely ovoid or oblong, smooth and shining, black when ripe, seated on a fleshy receptacle.
Distribution : Forests of Chittagong, Chittagong Hill Tracts, Sylhet and Sal forests of Modhupur.
