Description : A small or medium sized deciduous tree, up to 15 m high. Leaves 23-50 cm long. Leaflets 5-8 pairs opposite or alternate, 9-18 cm long, lanceolate, acuminate, often slightly falcate or oblique. Flowers 5 mm diam., white or purple, subsessile, in large terminal, pubscent, pyramidal panicles. Friuit of 1-3 distinct, indehiscent carpels, 1.8-2.5 cm diam., smooth, globose.
Distribution : North Bengal, Sylhet and cultivated elsewhere in the country.
