Description : An erect undershrub, 0.6-1.2 m high with thickish stems. Leaves opposite, 16.5 cm or more long, broadly elliptic or obovate acute, minutely dentate, base cuneate, whitened beneath, above tawny, silkily wooly, afterwards glabrate, beneath densely cinnamoneous-woolly, afterwards glabrate. Flowers rose-purple, in umbellate cymes in the lower axills. Berry 6 mm diam.
