Description : An erect aromatic herb up to 0.9 m high. Leaves 2.5-5 cm long, ovate, acute, entire or more or less toothed or lobed. Flowers in whorls, densely racemose, the terminal raceme usually much longer than the lateral ones, corolla 8-13 mm long, white, pink or purplish. Nutlets about 2 mm long, ellipsoid, black.
