Description : A considerable climber. Leaves opposite and alternate, 7.6-20 cm long, cordately or subhastately ovate or lanceolate. Male spikes whorled on the branches of very slender, elongate, axillary and terminal panicles, flowers small, globose. Capsules 2.5-3.8 cm long, membranous, sides parallel, tip acute.
Distribution : Forests of Chittagong and Chittagong Hill Tracts.

Uses : The leaf paste is taken by Chakma for the treatment of jaundice.
Habit : Climber
