Description : | Tall, glabrous, rush-like sedge. Stolon 3-4 mm diam., clothed by ovate-lanceolate, striate, brownish-black scales. Stem robust, terete, 90-1.8 m high. Leaves towards the base of the stem. Umbel-rays often 10, up to 4-8 cm, Spikes linear, many-flowered, spikelets 5-15 together, shortly spicate, 6-8 cm long. |
