Description : A small to medium-sized deciduous tree. Leaves as broad as or rather broader than long, deeply cordate, 2-lobed. Flowers large fragrant, in short axillary or terminal, few-flowered, grey-pubscent corymbs, petals 4-5 cm long, obovate, clawed, much exerted, white, beautifully variegated with red and yellow, sometimes pure white. Pods 15-30 cm long, hard, flat.
Distribution : Commonly planted as an ornamental plant.
