Description : "Erect branched under shrubs; stem terete, green and purplish. Leaves alternate, elliptic-rhomboid or narrowly obovate, rounded to truncate at base, acute at apex. Flowers axillary, solitary. Petals pale yellow, obliquely obovate, truncate or cuneate at base. Ovary conical, glabrous; style 8-10; stigma capitate. Mericarp enclosed in calyx, trigonous with acute angles, pale, distinctly and transversely rugose on sides and back, apex beaked with a single awn, stellately hairy; seeds black, smooth, minutely hairy at hilum."
